Edible Fashion

Walnuts by Louis Vuitton. Photo by Fulvio Bonavia for Garage magazine.

Anchovies by Moncler. Photo by Fulvio Bonavia for Garage magazine.

Lettuce by Alexander McQueen. Photo by Fulvio Bonavia for Garage magazine.

Citrus by Prada. Photo by Fulvio Bonavia for Garage magazine.
I like it when people get creative.

Feast your eyes on these four striking pieces of fashion, substituting fabrics with food. Delicious (with the exception of the anchovies).

Louis Vuitton - Spring/Summer 2012

Another amazing display of artistic creativity brought to the runway - and i'm not talking about the clothing.

The carousel themse used by Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 at Paris Fashion Week is a-ma-zing. The backdrop enhances the clothing and makes the whole show so spectacular and visually stimulating.

I'm really loving the more creative approach to runway shows. Goodbye to the days of models strutting down a plain 'ol runway... Hello to the days of the runway production!

This bitch has all the luck! She looks better than she did in the 80s and now she's sporting fashions I only wish I could afford. Though, I have to admit - she is looking great for her age!

These images are set to appear in the August issue of Harper's Bazaar ahead of the July 29th release of The Smurfs.

This must hurt Lindsay Lohan to see - Smurfette's career is doing way better than hers!

Celebrity Endorsements - Louis Vuitton Edition

Francis Ford Coppola and daughter Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton

Gisele Bundchen for Louis Vuitton

Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi for Louis Vuitton

Jennifer Lopez for Louis Vuitton

Keith Richards for Louis Vuitton

Madonna for Louis Vuitton

Pharrell Williams for Louis Vuitton

Scarlett Johansson for Louis Vuitton

Sean Connery for Louis Vuitton

Uma Thurman for Louis Vuitton
The earlier post about Angelina Jolie's new ad for Louis Vuitton got me wondering about other celebrity endorsers ... so I had the wonderful idea of doing a little retrospective. Whether you remember them or not, these celebrities once played muse to the Louis Vuitton empire - I don't remember seeing most.

The photography remains phenomenal across the board and LV and the images really embody luxury - from the location of the shoot, the styling of the celebrities, the poses.

Enjoy the photos.

High Fashion Art

Grasshopper sculpture by British artist Billie Achilleos created out of pieces from the  Louis Vuitton SLG Savoir Faire collection

Young British artist Billie Achilleos was commissioned by Louis Vuitton to create a series of these creatures out of their accessories for the 100th anniversary of the Louis Vuitton SLG Savoir Faire collection. Joining the above sculpture of a grasshopper are a beaver, armadillo and chameleon - pretty phenomenal work. Though, if you were to do this after purchasing all the materials, I would be forced to call you an idiot or perhaps you simply have too much money and need an outlet to waste it on – in which case, I would encourage you to waste it on me!

View this video if you want to see the artist at work and a quick glimpse at the grasshopper's comrades.
