Bigger Isn't Always Better

VS.

I have a bone to pick with these polo shirt making companies. Whose genius idea was it to think that big was better when placing their logo on the breast of their shirts? More importantly, why did other fashion labels follow suit?

In my own humble opinion, I think the large scale polo player and crocodile look ridiculous on what is supposed to be a classic shirt for men. Some things in fashion just don't need to be redesigned, their classic appeal is what sells - unless I'm way off base!

I associate the larger logo with douchey men.

The Fashion Blues

Someone didn't buy this kid the toy he was promised.

While walking the Smalto menswear show in Paris this week, this boy apparently cried throughout his entire appearance on the runway. This is what happens when parents make their kids do something they don't want to do!

In any event, the kid is adorable and his cry baby tactics have probably resulted in more coverage of the Smalto show than they would have received had they not sent a crying child down their runway.

Bring Back the Suit Accessory

Having done a little antiquing over the weekend, I have now resolved to start a movement to bring back the male suit accessory - who's with me?

I love the sophistication that the tie clip, or even the pins add to a simple suit – instant appeal. One of the vendors had some really great pieces for accessorizing the men's suit - I would love to see more men adopt the look in today's work/dress attire.

While I’m at it, I also want to see more pocket squares, three-piece suits and suspenders – you hear me, men!

Get out there and get these suit staples to spice up your tired, old, boring suits. If you've already adopted the staples - help a brother out.
